We have some VERY BIG news!

We have some VERY BIG news!

Dear Friends,

Hope you are well.

Jamie and I are ready to take the next step in our lives. All of our retirement plans have come together, and we are ready to move on to the next phase.

Creating and running The Whole 9 Yards has been more than I could ever have imagined. What an adventure! But more on that another time…

We have sold our building and The Whole 9 Yards is ready for new owners and a new location!

Our goal now is to find a loving new owner for The Whole 9 Yards, one that will value our superb staff and help our customers with everything from pillows to whole house remodels! It has been our joy and an honor to be a part of the Portland community, working one on one with creative people and working with our wonderful clients these past 29 years.

The Whole 9 Yards remains the best interior fabric store in the Northwest, and is now ready for the energy and creative thinking that comes with new ownership.

If you love interior design, fabric, and superior customer service and have the goal of owning a thriving business with unlimited potential, The Whole 9 Yards is a perfect fit for you!

Please direct any inquiries to our business agent:
Dan Tracy

We know many of you will want to talk with us about our future plans. We welcome your emails. Right now, though, The Whole 9 Yards continues business as usual (we are thrilled how busy we are), and we need to focus on our customers and their projects during business hours.

Thank you for the opportunity to share this exciting news!

Congratulations on the retirement news. We haven’t crossed paths in several years, but I was pleased to see that you’re still around and doing well.

I was saddened by the news but happy for your retirement. Looking forward to changes. Was in yesterday and found the perfect fabric to recover my Duncan Phyfe chairs. Had a busy day and finished all six. Thank you so much for your elegant choices

My dearest Amy. Your talent will be sorely missed. I’m sure you deserve to move on.. Are you still doing Amy chairs? I feel it would be great to have one or two more!
I will always remember our adventures at Sitka…what fun to spend a week together.
Best wishes on your new adventures.

Dear Whole Nine Yards Folks –

Congratulations on your retirement! Selfishly, I must
say that I will miss you all. We worked with you around a year ago for curtains in our bedroom & bathroom. We were so pleased with the service and the product. We hope that the new owners carry on with the store. Thank you so much for being such a great resource in Portland!

It was always such a visual pleasure to be your store when it was in NW and then again on E Burnside. It was like an art gallery of fabrics and paintings and furniture. The staff was always friendly and helpful and seemed to really enjoy being there. I’ve made pillows, a bedspread and upholstered chairs with your fabrics. Thanks for so much inspiration over the years. Best wishes to you all!
